The problem of decreasing amounts of food supply makes many nations all over the world try to seek solutions. The most widely done and developed these days to prevent the decreasing food supply in the world are using modern farming systems as in hydroponics and aquaponics.
As one of the non-profit organizations, HAND International Surabaya would like to participate in developing such modern farming systems. HAND‘s purposes to participate are obviously to help the underprivileged ones and also become a part of HAND’s commitment this year in Building Local Capacity for Sustainability.
By inviting Yin Sian, one of Singapore’s farming experts, HAND upheld an Urban Farming-themed seminar. In this seminar, Yin Sian shares his experiences in being a modern farmer as well as sharing tips on how the audiences can implement modern farming sytems using the existing lands.
